2) Art
Art encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and some neural connections (i.e, sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste). Through artistic expression, children learn to identify and regulate their emotions.
3) Music
Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together.
4) Dance
Dance provides an opportunity for children to learn to coordinate and balance their bodies. While following rhythm to express themselves, they are also developing spatial awareness.
5) Yoga
Yoga is a great physical activity in developing motor skills in young children as it provides opportunity to build flexibility and strength. A few benefits that yoga offers is increasing coordination, body balance, and awareness in young growing minds.
6) Gardening
Our gardening provides the opportunities for children to work independently as they plant seeds and pick up the produce. Gardening engages all five senses and enhances fine motor development. Although gardening can definitely be a lot of work, doing it together as a community makes it fun! It's a great time to have conversations without electronics getting in the way.
Partnerships
We are excited to announce we have partnered with Paradise Valley Community College for tuition free courses and programs. Our teachers will have the opportunity to receive a higher education and continue their professional development on earning an Early Childhood Education degree.
